Advanced Infrastructure  ·  Network as a Service

Does your network do what you say it does?

We do not sell you a network. We establish what your connectivity layer has to do — and tell you whether what you have does it.

4–6 WEEKSTARGET ARCHITECTURE & MIGRATION PATHWE ASSESS · PARTNERS DELIVER
The decisions underneath

Three questions decide the design.

Network-as-a-service is sold as a connectivity product. It is bought as three architectural commitments that are expensive to reverse.

01

Where traffic is allowed to go

If your provider re-routes for performance at 2am, does your residency position change without anyone being told?

02

What survives when something fails

What recovery time have you committed to a regulator, and what recovery time can you actually demonstrate?

03

Who can reach what

What can a supplier’s credential reach on the day it is compromised — and who would notice?

What we review

Twelve questions. Open one.

This is the estate we walk, in the order we walk it. Click a node to see the question we ask there — then tell us honestly whether you could answer it today.

SELECT A NODE

Twelve nodes, three zones. Each one is a question we put to a connectivity estate — and each one is somewhere an assumption usually hides.

Start anywhere. The pulsing node is where we normally begin.

We publish the questions because the method is the product. An assessment that cannot be examined in advance is asking for trust it has not yet earned.

What you receive

A target architecture and a migration path.

Four stages, every engagement, whether it runs four weeks or twelve. Hover a stage to see what happens in it.

The boundary

We design it. We do not run it.

Three moves. Two of them are ours, and the one in the middle deliberately is not.

MOVE 01 — OURS

Assess and specify

We walk the estate, write the requirements the infrastructure has to meet, and sequence the path to get there. The requirement is written before any product is considered.

MOVE 02 — NOT OURS

You contract directly

You hold the contract with the provider or carrier. No margin passes through us, and no lock-in passes through us either. This is the move that makes the other two believable.

MOVE 03 — OURS

Re-test on a cycle

We return and check the estate against the same questions — including whether the thing you bought did what it was specified to do.

Because we carry nothing and resell nothing in this pillar, no recommendation we make depends on which platform you choose.
Advanced Infrastructure

The rest of this pillar.

Three engagements inside this pillar. Start with the question you can name, or take the whole estate at once.

Questions we are asked

Before you ask us.

Does Orvix provide or resell network connectivity?
No. Orvix assesses and designs connectivity architecture; the service is delivered by a technology provider or carrier under their own contract and licensing, contracted directly with you. We do not carry traffic, operate networks, or hold telecommunications licences in the markets we cover.
What is Network as a Service?
A model in which connectivity — routing, transport, segmentation and policy — is consumed as a subscription rather than built from owned hardware. The commercial change is straightforward. The architectural change is that residency, resilience and reachability become configuration decisions rather than physical ones, which makes them faster to change and easier to change without a record.
How is this different from what my carrier or integrator would tell me?
A carrier assesses the requirement against what it can supply, and an integrator against what it can implement. Both are competent and both are constrained. Orvix has no connectivity service to sell, so the requirement is written before any product is considered — and a review concluding you should change nothing costs the same as one that does not.
What do I actually receive at the end?
A target architecture and a migration path: findings against the twelve questions, the requirements your connectivity layer must meet, an evaluation of candidate approaches against those requirements, and a sequenced path from where you are to where the design says you should be. Four to six weeks, fixed fee, agreed at scoping.

Start with the node you could not answer.

Thirty minutes, no materials required. Bring the twelve questions to your own team first — the ones they cannot answer are the ones worth talking about.
